The Chief Gani Fawehinmi Annual Four (4) Million Naira Scholarship Awards For Forty (40) Students is out

Applications are invited for Gani Fawehinmi Annual Scholarship Awards 2014. The Awards will cover 2013 and 2014. The award is for 40 (Forty) students each of whom will receive One hundred Thousand Naira (N100, 000.00) making a total sum of Four Million Naira (N4,000 000.00).
Criteria For Chief Gani Fawehinmi Scholarship Award 2014
(1) Applicants must be poor and indigent
(2) Applicants must be registered students of tertiary institutions in nigeria i.e Universities, polytechnicsand colleges of education.
(3) Applicants must have good academic performance
Mode Of Application For Chief Gani Fawehinmi Scholarship Award 2014
Each applicant shall submit an applicaton form, not more than two (2) pages. The letter must include the following:
* Name of the candidate
* Course and year of study
* State of origin and
* Reason the candidate believes he or she deserves the scholarship award
The application letter must be accomplished by:
i. A photocopy of the candidate’s current identity card;
ii. A letter from the candidate’s current Head of Department, including correct information on the candidate’s CGPA for the last academic session.
iii. A letter from the registrar certifying that the candidate is a student of the institution
iv. A copy of the candidate’s registration form for the current semester and
v. Two (2) current passport photographs.
The application letter, with all the supporting documents, should be forwarded (by hand or postal delivery) to:

Award Ceremony For Gani Fawehinmi Schorlaship 2014
Successful candidates will be awarded the scholarships on Thursday, September 11, 2014 Otunba Jobi Fele Way, C.B.D., Alausa, Ikeja. P.O. Box 80279, Lafiaji, Lagos at 12.00 noon.
NB: Students who have won the schorlaship are not eligible.

Okopoly Post-UTME 2014/2015 Registration
Okopoly Post-UTME 2014/2015 Registration Has Begun
This is to inform the prospective students of Federal Polytechnic Oko that the post utme form is on sale for the 2014/2015 session.
Interested applicants are advised to come down to the school and purchase the form at the designated banks around the school.
The banks include: Oko micro finance bank, Isuofia microfinance bank, Zenith bank Ekwulobia, First bank Ekwulobia etc.
After the purchase of the forms, students are urged to log on to the official school portal by clicking here and click on the link at the bottom of the page to proceed.
No information on Date, Venue, registration deadline or even cut-offs have been announced yet so we intend to update this information in the near future, when made available to us.
PLAPOLY 1st Semester exam dates changed (new dates)
PLAPOLY first semester examination dates have changed as a result of public holidays declared by the FG for celebration of Eid. Plateau State Polytechnic has set new dates for the examinations that should hold on Monday 28th, ad Tuesday 29th July, 2014.

In two different announcement made by the Management of PlaPoly, the postponement of exams and new exam dates were announced:
1st message: Plateau State Poly exam dates changed:
Federal Government has declared Monday 28th, and Tuesday 29th, 2014 as public holidays.
In view of the above the management of the institution has decided Monday and Tuesday be observed as work-free days.
2nd Message: New Dates for PLAPOLY First Semester Examination
1st Semester examination for ND II students will commence on 28th of July, 2014 and end on 4th of August, 2014. However, since Monday, 28 and Tuesday, 29th of August have been declared public holiday by the Federal Government, the papers for those days are shifted to 11th and 12th.

FG Expresses Optimism That Insurgency Will End Before 2015
Mike Omeri, the National Information Centre Coordinator on June 2, 2014, Wednesday, said that the current security challenges being experienced in the country would end before the 2015 general elections.
According to Punch, the Coordinator, who made this known in Abuja during a briefing on the security challenges facing the country, assured that all measures were being exploited by the government towards rescuing the kidnapped Chibok girls as well as to ensure peace across the country.
According to him,"We have not reached election period yet and all efforts now are essentially geared towards rescuing our Chibok girls and finding peace in the land. At the rate we are going, our challenge will be overcome before the elections," Omeri said.
Omeri, who is also the Director General of the National Orientation Agency, NOA, revealed that he was very elated over the arrest of the alleged armourer of the Islamist sect, described it as a major boost to the war against insurgency as well as an effort to rescue the Chibok girls.
Missing Chibok Girls: Key Suspect Moved To Abuja, Interrogated By Security Agents
The key suspect in the abduction of Chibok girls, Babuji Ya’ari, who was arrested after Nigerian security reportedly busted Boko Haram intelligence cell, has been moved to Abuja.
According to a top security source, he was moved to Abuja early this week from his Maiduguri base, where he was arrested and he is being interrogated by security agents who are trying to get information from him that would help in the release of the girls, Punch reports.
The suspect, who is reportedly a businessman is said to be under intense interrogation, and is expected to provide vital information on how the abduction was carried out, give a clue on the location of the girls in Sambisa Forest and other hideouts where the girls were being kept.

The management of Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas (NLNG) has kick started the 2014/15 Edition of its annual Scholarship. The scholarship is Open for all full time first year students of Nigerian Universities Only.
